Native American All Around Women’s Styles Dance Lab Fee is a scholarship for Native Americans thanks to a grant from Cultural Coalition of Washington County.

No Men’s Native American Styles or Contemporary Dance Labs at this time. Please do send an inquiry with comment if you are interested in having either of these dance labs from Northstar Dance Program.

LORENA ARANDA MOVEO Lorena Aranda, Manager, Co-Company Director, Jazz/Lyrical & Hip Hop Instructor - Lorena Aranda was born and raised in Torreon, Mexico. She was one of twenty dancers selected from around the world to receive the prestigious EDGE PAC scholarship, moving her to Los Angeles where she had the opportunity to work with and receive instruction from choreographers such as Tymme and Aury Reitz, Adam Parson, Eddie Garcia, Billy Goodson, Alex Magno, and Mandy Moore. Lorena’s television works include performing in the feature films “Angel Baby” and “Steps”, as well as the television special “In Miami” with the pop group S Club 7. She has danced with Latin artist “Brenda”, and R&B artist “Joaquin”. She has also performed at Project Dance in LA and NY, the Choreographers Carnival 2000 in LA, and the Los Angeles Dance Invitational. Lorena was seen last at the Vans Invitational 2007 Mt. Dew Tour at the Rose Garden. Lorena was owner, artistic director, and choreographer of the dance studio “Spazio di ballo” in Mexico. One of her great achievements with her company was an invitation to the elite dance festival TANZSOMMER, which takes place in Vienna, Austria each year. This was the first time in twenty-five years that a studio from Mexico had been included in the festival. Now Lorena acts as one of the directors of the Moveo Performing Company.

DAMON KELLER MOVEO Damon Keller, President, Co-Company Director, Hip Hop & Tap Instructor - Damon Keller began dancing his freshman year at Jefferson High School, and was a member of the acclaimed Jefferson Dancers for three years. After high school, Damon taught at various dance studios around the Portland Metropolitan area before moving to Los Angeles where he was a member of Gregg Russell’s touring tap company “Tap Sounds Underground”. He also was on faculty at the Edge Performing Arts Center while in LA, and worked at Disney California Adventure Theme Park with “LaFeet,” a tap/drumming group. Since he decided to move back to Portland, he has been featured in print ads with Nike and the Art Institute of Portland, performed in industrials for Sun Rider Products, Columbia Sportswear, Nike, and the Oregon Lottery, and just finished choreographing and dancing at the Vans Invitational 2007 Mt. Dew Tour held at the Rose Garden. Damon was co-founder of the Junior Blazer Dancers, and choreographed and coached the team for its first three years. He is known internationally from Canada to Mexico, teaching and performing for dance conventions, workshops and dance studios such as Urban Jamm Dance Conventions, Groovestreet Productions, Cross Connection Dance Workshop and many more. Damon has performed locally at the “Last Chance Summer Dance” and every production Moveo debuts in the Portland area. When not teaching or dancing, Damon is engulfed in music mixing and editing for various studios across the nation and projects for the studio and company; and his new hobby - DJing at weddings, birthdays and other various parties.
